One of the big problems with contemporary capitalism is how it depends on and then entrenches existing social networks. For example, to pitch the Omidyar Network, you pretty much need to be a celebrity, or have an existing social connection to the elite circles in which ON staffers move.
Or am I wrong about that? Is there a way for a small start-up with a big vision to change the media to get a meeting with a real decision maker there?
